Byron Middle School's Veteran's Day program was very well attended on Friday, November 11, 2011. Veterans and special guests attended the assembly program in the gym at 10:00am. Thanks to Ms. Nunley, the Veteran's Day committee, and the Poetry Club for sponsoring this patriotic event for the last few years.
Byron Middle School will host a Math Workshop on Thursday, November 10th, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. This is an opportunity for parents to come and meet the grade level math teachers as well as learn how the students are progressing in meeting the Georgia Performance Standards. If there are any concerns, an appointment can be scheduled for a later date.
If a parent comes to the workshop and signs in, his or her student will be allowed to wear jeans and wear his or her shirt untucked on Tuesday, November 15th!
FBLA's motto is “Service, Education, and Progress”. To focus on service, it is time for the school-wide Annual Generosity Can Food Drive. Please send at least two can goods or non-perishable items to school by your child to help feed needy families in our area through November 30th. If you are interested in participating or becoming a member, please see Mrs. S. Johnson in the Business Education Lab, Room 503.
