Student Orientation Information:
The following will be covered during the student orientation held upon arrival. Acquaint your student with these regulations before the trip.
1) Hand signal -- a raised hand means it is time to listen.
2) Shoes are to be worn at all times on the Center grounds (sand spurs are abundant).
3) Absolutely NO SWIMMING allowed. Students may wade up to their ankles with adult permission.
4) Phones are not available to students, except for emergency calls.
5) Keep all money with you -- do not leave in dorm.
6) No students are allowed in any dorm other than the one assigned to them.
7) Class and meal times will be signaled by a bell.
8) Insect repellent may be applied only while outside.
9) No running or climbing up on the A-Frame roof.
10) No students allowed on dock or marsh boardwalk without an adult present.
11) Absolutely no food or drinks in dormitories. All trash must be disposed of properly or the canteen will be closed.
12) Mud and sand are to be washed off at OUTSIDE showers. Wet shoes may be left outside.
13) Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM until 7:00 AM. During this time students are to remain in the dorms and quiet (no noise to be heard from outside the building).
14) Collect only empty shells -- nothing alive. Shells are to be rinsed off outside, not in the sink.
15) Students are responsible for cleaning their dormitories before departure. Cleanup is supervised by the adult chaperone(s) in that dorm.
16) No youths (under 18) are to leave the camp property without an adult.
