Spending money - Used to purchase fast food on the trip, snacks, and
souvenirs
Raincoat or rain gear - waterproof!
Sweater or sweatshirt
Warm jacket
Heavy shirt
Underwear
4 shirts (T-shirts OK)
2 pairs of jeans
2 pairs of shorts
5-6 pairs of socks
2 pair of tie sneakers (these sneakers MUST tie securely to the feet; one OLD pair to be worn in marsh;
rain/puddle boots are fine)
Hat or cap
Pajamas or sweats
Bedding (Sleeping bag-HIGHLY RECOMMENDED or sheets
and blanket )
Pillow case
2 towels
Toiletries - soap, toothbrush, washcloth, towel, etc.
Roll or lotion insect repellent, such as Avon Skin-So-Soft. Please do not
bring spray repellent.
Sunscreen
2 large labeled plastic bags (for wet clothes and shoes)
Optional Items:
Pillow (not found in dorms, but available upon request)
Binoculars
Sunglasses
Pen and paper
Camera and film
Water bottle
Day pack
Flip-flops, sandals or water shoes
(in addition to 2 pairs of OLD sneakers)
Flashlight

Anything prohibited at Byron Middle School
Knives
Fishing equipment
Fireworks
Curling irons
Hair dryers (if weather is warm)
Expensive jewelry
Expensive cameras
Anything of great value
Excessive amounts of money
If what you WANT to bring is not on the list of what you NEED to bring or if you do not have the express WRITTEN or VERBAL consent of Mr. M. Duke, LEAVE IT AT HOME!
