Entering the School

 

During school hours (7 AM - 4 PM), all visitors must come in the front doors and to the school office to sign in.  Visitors will usually be given a numbered visitors badge to wear while in the school.  This badge lets faculty and the school security know that you have been authorized to be in the school.

If you need a conference with a teacher or other member of the faculty and staff, please arrange the time with the person you wish to meet, then check in at the office to sign in and receive a visitor's badge.

For pep rallies, school band concerts, and other activities during school hours to which parents and family members may be invited, enter the front doors, sign in at the office, and proceed to the gymnasium.  Visitors will not usually require a visitor badge for these events.  However, please do not go anywhere in the school other than to the gymnasium.

During basketball games, school dances, and other after-hours activities, park and enter the school at the rear parking lot (where the buses drop-off and pick-up).  The front of the school will be closed off to all persons and the front doors will be locked.  Your students should also be dropped off and picked up at the rear of the school or the side closest to the gymnasium.  No one will be permitted to enter/leave the school through the front doors.

DON'T FORGET to return visitor badges when you leave.  A visitor badge is invalid if worn into the school from the outside!
